Æilus for Business: an eight-part research series
ÆVRI has published "Æilus for Business", a series of eight research works by Victor Bolshakov. The series turns the Theory of Value Management (VMT) and the Æilus methodology into working tools for organisations: how to name whose value is at stake, how to see anti-value that metrics hide, and how to give value an owner.
The series
- Value, Anti-Value and Value Flows: A Working Vocabulary for Practitioners
- Why Leadership Decisions Destroy Business Value: Local Optimization and Hidden Anti-Value
- From Cost Centre to Value Converter: Anti-Value Conversion in Technical Support
- AI as a Value Transformer, Not an Employee: Placing AI in Organisational Value Flows
- Measuring Value Flows in Software Delivery with the Value System Schema
- Practices Are Local Value Systems: Domains, Policies and the End of 'Best Practices'
- Wrapping OKRs and KPIs with Value: Prioritisation in a Common Value Currency
- Value Ownership Without Hierarchy: The Æilus Role and Process Model
How to read it
Start with the first paper: it is the shared vocabulary of the series. The others can be read in any order, depending on your role: leadership and strategy, support and operations, AI programmes, software delivery, practices, goals and metrics, or the roles and processes of value ownership.
The works are methodological and theoretical. Each states whose value it measures and which axioms and theorems of VMT it relies on. Examples are illustrative and marked as such; no empirical data is claimed. Readers and practitioners are invited to test the methods and submit their results to ÆVRI.
