Call for research: value in engineering teams

In October and November, ÆVRI invites research on how engineering teams create, lose and shift value. Practitioners are welcome, and no degree is required.

Engineering teams spend a large share of every company's budget. Yet the usual measures, hours, story points and velocity, show effort, not value. This autumn ÆVRI invites research on value in engineering teams.

We are looking for studies that show where value is created, lost or shifted: in priorities and estimates, at hand-offs between roles, in incidents and technical debt, and in the use of AI tools. Case studies from your own team, comparisons of metrics, pilots and careful reviews are all welcome. Data can be anonymized.

No degree or affiliation is required. An independent expert reviews every work. After publication, readers evaluate it, the work is translated into 20 languages, and the author receives an ÆVRI Researcher badge.
