Readers now evaluate the value of research

Every published work now shows how valuable it was for its readers, and researchers and experts earn value for their work.

At the end of every work, readers choose one of six reactions, from "Negative emotions" (-100) to "Brilliant, I want to apply this" (+500). If a reader does not choose, reading time proposes a value: 0 for leaving at once, +20 for a quick look, +100 for at least five minutes. The proposed value is always visible before it is recorded.

  • A researcher's value is the value readers received from all of their published works.
  • Experts earn value for review work: +300 for an approval, +200 for a request for changes or a decision not to publish, +50 for a comment in the expert discussion.
  • Anyone signed in can give a people's rating of a researcher with a comment. Experts review these ratings, and accepted ratings change the researcher's people's value.

Authors never rate their own work. How value is evaluated.
